Why I Recommend No-Bake Fit Balls, Vegan Bites, and What Are the Ingredients?
First, let me explain why I call this recipe a Vegan Sweet Snack. Because it contains no animal products whatsoever. I wanted to specifically mention this in the title. You can also check out my other recipes in the Vegan section of my page. It's a Vegan Sweet Snack because it's both sweet and a great snack for those following a vegan diet. These sweet balls mostly contain dates, as you know, many of us use dates in diet-friendly, sugar-free, natural desserts. Choosing natural sugar instead of refined sugar is very important for our health. Natural fruit sugars cause our blood sugar to spike and fluctuate suddenly, and at the same time, they help balance blood sugar. That's why I use fruits like dates, apples, and bananas in many of these recipes. I really like the natural sugar and flavor they provide. In this recipe, I used a tahini-molasses mixture; the natural sugar in the molasses here is also very nice. I heard you say that ready-made packaged molasses contains refined sugar. Yes, some unfamiliar brands and supermarkets contain refined sugar. That's why sometimes I use the natural, refined sugar-free version my mother makes. I use molasses. If you know someone in your area who makes grape molasses or natural mulberry molasses, you can buy it from them. I used grape molasses in my recipe. I used one tablespoon of molasses mixed with tahini. Diabetic individuals or those with sugar sensitivity or other reasons may not use molasses. Or they can reduce the dates and balance the molasses. Let's talk about the benefits of grape molasses and tahini.
Other notable benefits of Tahini include:
Soothes the Stomach: Thanks to its natural oils, it forms a protective layer on the stomach lining, helping to alleviate symptoms such as gastritis and reflux.
Supports Bone and Muscle Health: With its rich calcium and magnesium content, it maintains bone density and contributes to the regular functioning of the muscle and nervous systems.
Provides Energy and Keeps You Full: As a high-calorie and nutritious food, it provides energy throughout the day and gives a feeling of fullness, especially when consumed in the morning.
Good for Skin and Hair Health: Thanks to its vitamin E and minerals, it nourishes the skin, delays signs of aging, and strengthens hair follicles.
A mixture of tahini and grape molasses is a highly nutritious duo that provides high energy, strengthens the immune system, and is beneficial for anemia. This mixture, which provides daily mineral and vitamin support, has the following prominent benefits:
Iron Support: Grape molasses, in particular, is a rich source of iron. When combined with tahini, it provides natural support against anemia.
Strong Immunity: Thanks to its antioxidants, it protects the body against free radicals and increases resistance to colds and flu during winter months.
High Energy Source: It is a quick and natural energy source. When consumed at breakfast, it provides vitality throughout the day and relieves fatigue and weakness.
Bone and Muscle Health: Tahini, with its high calcium and phosphorus content, supports bone development and the skeletal system.
Throat and Lung Relief: Tahini soothes the throat, reducing irritation, while molasses can have expectorant properties.
Differences and Benefits Between Grape Molasses and Mulberry Molasses
Raw Material and Consistency: Grape molasses is made from grape juice; it is denser, thicker, and has a sharper sweetness. Mulberry molasses, on the other hand, is produced from fresh mulberries; compared to grape molasses, it is lighter, more fluid, and has a fruity/sour aroma.
Uses: Thanks to its neutral and dominant sweetness, grape molasses is frequently preferred in the kitchen as a sugar substitute in pastries, and especially as a classic pairing with tahini. Mulberry molasses, however, is more popular in crepes, yogurt, and granola sauces.
Key Effect: Both are blood-building, but in popular and traditional usage, grape molasses is more energy-boosting, while mulberry molasses stands out directly for its blood-building properties.
