Avocado Healthy Appetizer - Gluten-Free, Vegan

AVOCADO APPETIZER / VEGAN / GLUTEN FREE

I previously mentioned that I have an avocado appetizer recipe for vegans. This is that wonderful recipe. It has few ingredients and tastes amazing. It's also extremely easy to make. I would also recommend chickpea paste in this appetizer, but it has a richer, oilier tahini. I really love avocados. I enjoy both the slices and the appetizers made with them. It doesn't contain any animal products or gluten. It's a great idea for those following a gluten-free and vegan diet. I recommend you try it. I think it would go very well with mushroom sauce pasta or vegetable dishes. I used garlic and lemon in it, which adds more flavor. If you have an allergy or stomach sensitivity to garlic, you can omit it and use onion instead.

Why I Recommend Making Avocado Appetizer, What Are Its Ingredients?

First of all, it's an appetizer packed with vitamins and rich in fats. It's a great option for those following a vegan diet. Dieters can easily make this appetizer as a snack at any time of day. It's also a great idea for individuals who are gluten-free, vegan, or on a vegetable-based diet, or those with low protein intake. As a green lover, I really enjoy avocados and I recommend making this recipe. I spread it on buckwheat puffs for breakfast and I love it. You can also spread it on your bread, or use it as a sauce on plain pasta. I want to share with you the oils in avocados, what they are used for, and their benefits.

Avocado is one of the richest fruits in nature in terms of micronutrients. A medium-sized avocado (approximately 100 grams) contains the following essential vitamins and minerals:

Vitamin K: Provides approximately 26% of the daily requirement; vital for blood clotting and bone health.

Folate (Vitamin B9): Provides approximately 20% of the daily requirement; plays a critical role in cell regeneration and fetal development during pregnancy.

Vitamin C: Provides approximately 17% of the daily requirement; a powerful antioxidant, supports immunity and collagen production.

Potassium: Provides approximately 14% of the daily requirement; contains more potassium than bananas, regulating blood pressure and fluid balance.

Vitamin B5 (Pantothenic Acid): Provides approximately 14% of the daily requirement; helps convert nutrients into energy.

Vitamin B6: Provides approximately 13% of the daily requirement; essential for the immune system and nerve function.

Vitamin E: Provides approximately 10% of the daily requirement; protects cells against aging and free radical damage.

Others include magnesium, manganese, copper, iron, zinc, and small amounts of vitamins A, B1, B2, and B3.

Health Benefits of Avocado

Protects Cardiovascular Health
Balances Cholesterol: Thanks to its oleic acid (healthy fat) content, it lowers bad cholesterol (LDL) while raising good cholesterol (HDL).

Lowers Blood Pressure: High potassium levels reduce tension in the blood vessels, lowering the risk of high blood pressure and heart attack.

Supports Eye Health
Protects the eyes: The antioxidants lutein and zeaxanthin it contains protect eye tissue from blue light damage.

Reduces the Risk of Cataracts: Minimizes the risk of cataracts and macular degeneration (yellow spot disease) that occur with age.

Relieves Digestive System and Aids in Weight Control
High in fiber: Contains approximately 7 grams of fiber per 100 grams. This nourishes gut-friendly bacteria and prevents constipation.

Provides a feeling of fullness: The combination of healthy fats and fiber keeps blood sugar balanced, providing a feeling of fullness for a long time and preventing sudden cravings for sweets.

Enhances Nutrient Absorption

Vitamins C and E maintain skin elasticity and slow down wrinkle formation.
